Impact of change (positive or negative) on fit, form, function & reliability
Quality and Reliability
Quality and reliability will both improve as the new labelling increases efficiency in tracking products as they progress through the manufacturing process within the Connect Tech Inc. facility.
The new labels will not affect fit, form, or function of any products.
For a majority of products the new labels will be placed in the same location as any previous labelling. In the rare instance where the labels cannot be placed in the same location, care will be taken to ensure the labels are placed in a clearly visible and logical location. If your system or application requires a clear line of site to the label when it is installed in your application, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure the label location will meet this requirement.
Product / Revision Discontinuation
After the release of this PCN there will be a transition time of 12 months whereby a delivery may consist of products based on previous labelling as well as new labelling. After the completion of the transition time, only products based on the new labelling will be delivered. This does not include products that fall under the RMA process.
