Connect Tech Inc. is looking for an experienced and detail oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team.  This position involves coordinating all Human Resource activities including administration, reports, maintaining employee records, creating and updating policies and programs, managing employee issues, accommodations, claims management and benefits administration. Work closely with finance to support payroll. The ideal candidate will be adaptable to changing demands and be flexible in a supportive team work environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the new employee on-boarding process including distribution of physical and digital training materials
  • Maintain employee records, including time and attendance, vacation and Human Resource files
  • Update internal databases with new hires’ data (e.g. contact details and bank accounts)
  • Address employees’ queries
  • Manage employee issues including workplace accommodations, mental health, absenteeism, discipline and terminations.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports (e.g. expense reimbursement, vacation tracking)
  • Assist in coordinating and filing executed performance reviews
  • Coordinate approved employee salary changes
  • Execute any Cost-of-Living-Adjustment (COLA) for employees
  • Generate employee letters regarding profit sharing events, cost of living increases, salary changes and employment letters
  • Manage the Employee Benefit Plans including benefit enrolment, addressing employee questions and plan renewals.
  • Create and update policies and programs
  • Provide support to the Accounting Department as required

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Business, Accounting, or Human Resources Diploma and two-years of related experience
  • Must possess a CHRP designation
  • Knowledge of payroll and human resources processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel (intermediate skills)
  • Ability to communicate tactfully, clearly, and effectively, and exercise mature judgement to deal effectively with existing and potential employees
  • High degree of discretion, sound judgement and professionalism
  • Ability to ensure all work-related information is kept confidential as per policy and in accordance with Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
  • Strong organization and administration skills, with the ability to monitor and manage workload within appropriate timelines ensuring tasks are processed efficiently and through to completion
