You will work alongside a diverse and talented group of manufacturing specialists, electronics engineers and designers, mechanical engineers, technical support, sales and admin individuals to continue Connect Tech’s drive within the embedded industry.

Key Responsibilities:
The SMT Maintenance Technician will primarily be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing SMT machines used in electronics manufacturing. These duties include:
- Scheduling and performing preventative maintenance tasks including greasing, cleaning, adjusting, calibrating, teardown, etc.
- Diagnosing equipment issues and troubleshooting SMT processes/equipment issues
- Replacing faulty components or performing upgrades
- Assist with maintaining production quality and efficiency by keeping equipment and processes operating smoothly.
- Assist with day-to-day operation of SMT equipment and processes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technician/Technologist college diploma or university degree and 2-4 years related experience
- Experience working with and/or maintaining SMT equipment, including stencil printers, pick and place, reflow ovens, SPI/AOI, Xray, aqueous cleaning, selective soldering.
- In depth understanding of SMT assembly processes
- Comfort using hand tools and performing mechanical work with equipment.
- Experience with electronics inspection to IPC-A-610 standards
- Training and Experience in ESD Procedures
- Good manual dexterity demonstrating fine motor skills for working with small components (hand-eye coordination)
- Strong English language comprehension is a must
- Work from written/verbal instructions, technical manuals, engineering specifications and schematics
- Possess good interpersonal communication skills
- Strong understanding of electronics assembly
- Ability to work independently and schedule time efficiently.
