Accessibility Commitment Statement

Connect Tech Inc. understands its obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for people with disabilities. We are committed to treating people with disabilities in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in removing and preventing barriers to accessibility and meeting our accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and Ontario’s accessibility laws.

Accessibility Policy

Connect Tech Inc. will provide an accessible environment for all clients, employees, job applicants, suppliers, and visitors who may enter our premises, access our information, or use our services.

CTI provides training to all staff in accessible customer service, other Ontario’s accessibility standards and aspects of the Ontario Human Rights Code that relate to persons with disabilities. This training includes: purpose of the AODA, 2005 and the requirement of the customer service standards, our duty to accommodate individuals with disabilities, our related Connect Tech policies, how to interact and communicate with people with various types of disabilities and how to interact with people with disabilities who use assistance (device, animal, person).

Connect Tech Inc. makes every reasonable effort to ensure that its policies, practices, and procedures are consistent with the principles of dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity by:

  • Removing and preventing barriers to accessibility.
  • Creating and maintaining an Accessibility Policy and Plan.
  • Working with people with disabilities to determine what method of communication works for them.
  • Providing AODA training to every employee.
  • Welcoming and accommodating people with disabilities.
  • Making accommodations upon request during the recruitment and hiring processes.
  • Welcoming feedback that will help us identify any barriers and respond to concerns.
  • Making all reasonable efforts to provide notice of any temporary disruptions of facility or services that customers with disabilities reply on to access or use goods or services.

Multi-year Public Accessibility Plan

Connect Tech Inc. is committed to fulfilling our requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005. This accessibility plan outlines the steps we are taking to meet those requirements and to improve opportunities for people with disabilities. Our plan shows how we will play our role in making Ontario an accessible province for all Ontarians.

  • Post the Accessibility Plan on our website; review and update it at least once every 5 years.
  • Make reasonable efforts to provide the Accessibility Plan in an accessible format when asked.
  • Train every employee after being hired and provide training on any changes to our policies.
  • Maintain records of the training provided including the dates on which the training was provided.
  • Include the Accessibility Statement as a part of all job posting.
  • Notify employees, job applicants and the public that accommodations can be made available upon request during the recruitment and hiring processes (job postings & website).
  • Where needed, we will also provide customized emergency information to help an employee with a disability during an emergency.
  • Connect Tech Inc. has established a feedback process to provide the public with the opportunity to provide feedback on how goods, services, and facilities are provided to customers with disabilities. Feedback may be shared verbally (in-person or by telephone 519-836-1291) or in writing (handwritten, delivered, website or email [email protected] ). All feedback including complaints will be directed to the President and addressed in a timely manner.
