You can wire Intellicon-(Flex8, 6+2) and Dflex adapters with the RS-422/485 option in various ways to communicate with RS-422/485 peripherals. Below is an example of a 4 wire cabling scheme as well as a 2 wire cabling scheme.

Note 1: The RTS and CTS connections are not necessary if you jumper the CTS selection ( J9 and J10 ) appropriately on the Intellicon-6+2.
Note 2: These pinouts only apply to the Intellicon-(Flex8, 6+2) and Dflex adapters with the RS-422/485 options. This Intellicon 2 and 4 have a different RS-422/485 Pinout.
