Guelph ON, Canada – Connect Tech, a global leader in providing embedded computing solutions, today introduced the Rogue-RX, a robust carrier board designed for the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin™ and Jetson AGX Orin Industrial module. The Rogue-RX Carrier Board is specifically crafted for deployment in rugged and harsh environments, ensuring continued connectivity in demanding situations.

Connect Tech adds the Rogue-RX to its extensive family of carrier boards and systems designed for the full lineup of NVIDIA Jetson modules used in edge AI and robotics applications. The Rogue-RX Carrier features secure positive locking high-speed connectors, including high-speed peripherals such as 10GBASE-T, USB 3.2 Gen2, and HDMI. This capability is particularly valuable in industrial automation, where machinery-induced vibrations are common, and in outdoor settings exposed to unpredictable weather conditions. The inclusion of a positive locking discrete wire/pin header for UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, and GPIO functionalities further enhances the Rogue-RX’s suitability for diverse rugged applications.

“As today’s autonomous AI applications continue to move to the edge, these deployments require the ability to continue to operate reliably in harsh conditions,” says Rob Callaghan, Chief Product Officer, Connect Tech. “Using locking, ruggedized connectivity, the Rogue-RX is designed to withstand the shock, vibration, and temperature ranges required to meet the emerging needs of industrial, agriculture, public sector, and autonomous mobile robot and robotics deployments.”

The carrier’s module approach to vision is a standout feature. Pairing with a Connect Tech camera board allows direct access to the Jetson AGX Orin’s 16-lane MIPI CSI-2 connection via a large array of video input technologies, including 3G-SDI/HD-SDI, GMSL2, FPD-Link III, HDMI Input, and direct MIPI CSI2. When used in vision-reliant applications, the high-speed camera interface is pivotal for maintaining a clear and uninterrupted stream of information, even in challenging operational conditions.

Connect Tech, an Elite Jetson ecosystem member in the NVIDIA Partner Network, is committed to delivering adaptable solutions and providing reliable choices for a variety of applications where durability, connectivity, and performance are paramount.
