Solutions Architect & Program Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Architect & Program Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the development of new custom programs from concept to completion, bridging the gap between our engineering and sales teams. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Costing/Estimation: Accurately estimate costs and timelines for new custom programs, ensuring profitability and feasibility.
  • Project Plan Development: Create comprehensive project plans that outline the scope, timeline, and resources required for successful program execution.
  • System Architecture & Technical Specifications: Design and define system architecture and technical specifications for custom programs, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Statement of Work & Proposal Development: Develop detailed statements of work (SOW) and proposals, ensuring clarity in deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities.
  • Pre-Sales/Technical Sales Support: Actively engage with the CTI sales team on pre-sales technical discussions, helping define custom project specifications and definition. Screen opportunities for technical fit/gap and align solutions with client needs.
  • Program/Project Management: Oversee program/project management and scheduling, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Bridge Gap Between Engineering and Sales: Serve as a liaison between the engineering and sales teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives.

Requirements and preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the embedded hardware / electronics industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in system architecture, project management, and technical sales.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of embedded high-tech, high-speed digital designs, and industry standards.
  • Previous embedded hardware design experience is a major benefit to this role.

Additional Requirements

  • On-site role at Connect Tech HQ in Guelph, Ontario.
  • Travel ready (approx. 2-3 times per year) with passport for international travel to key events, customer sites and trade shows.
