The Electronics Design Technologist is responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic circuits, systems, and devices. This role involves working with various components such as System-on-module computers, wireless networking, sensors, and other electronic devices to create innovative solutions for various applications. The technologist will report to senior lead design engineers and collaborate with project managers to ensure designs meet specifications, are cost-effective, and comply with industry standards.

Responsibilities
- Design and Development:
- Design and develop electronic circuits and systems, including analog and digital components.
- Create and modify schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
- Develop prototypes and test circuits to ensure functionality and performance.
- Testing and Validation:
- Conduct testing and debugging of electronic circuits and systems.
- Analyze test results and make necessary adjustments to designs.
- Ensure that designs meet reliability, and quality standards.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with team leads and project managers to translate project requirements into functional designs.
- Assist in the selection of components and materials for electronic designs.
- Participate and support manufacturing NPI.
- Documentation:
- Prepare prototype verification plans and reports
- Create and maintain product user guide
- Assist in developing manufacturing test and process documentation.
Requirements and preferred Qualifications:
- Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in electronic design and development.
- Proficiency in CAD software for schematic design and PCB layout using Altium Designer.
- Proven design or validation experience with at least 5 standard computer or embedded interconnection standards such as PCI Express, USB, SATA, CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, UART/RS232/RS485, MIPI, HDMI, DisplayPort, and VGA
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, and systems.
- Hands-on experience with soldering, prototyping, and testing electronic circuits.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
