kdb367: NVIDIA GTX1000 Series Windows Driver Setup

When using the Connect Tech Xtreme/GPU or COM Express + GPU Embedded System with NVIDIA GTX1000 Series GPU under the Windows Operating System please use the Drivers detailed in this article for the best performance and compatibility with your system.

BIOS Setup

As the Windows Driver requires the capacity for battery detection, it is recommended to have the ‘Smart Battery’ capability enabled in the BIOS when using an MXM based NVIDIA GPU. This can be located in the Advanced ->Misc section in the BIOS. If you are unable to locate or your system BIOS does not have this feature, please contact your COMe module or system provider for details on this feature.

Please be advised, it has been found that some systems are unable to function with the NVIDIA MXM 1000 Series GPU under Video Legacy Boot, you may be required to adjust your system BIOS to boot using the Video UEFI parameter. This option can be found either in the Advanced or Boot Options under CSM setting.

  6. When complete, restart your system.

This can be done by rebooting the computer by clicking on the reboot/restart button in the start menu while holding the shift key. When the computer begins to shut off a menu will appear, click troubleshoot -> Advanced Options -> Startup Settings, and the computer should restart. On boot, a second menu will appear when this menu appears press F7 for Disable driver signature enforcement.

Note: Please ensure that you are able to see the battery icon in the task bar (bottom right hand side beside the time), the driver requires this battery (No battery is required, icon is present due to COMe module) to be available by the OS to install correctly. If you are unable to see this icon please contact Technical Support at [email protected].
