More Information

Connect Tech’s GMSL2 Plus camera platform allows up to 8 cameras to be connected to Connect Tech carriers, accelerated by the NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™ and Jetson Thor™ T5000 modules. Power to the cameras is provided by PoC (Power over Coax) so all the data, control signals, and power are sent through a single 50 ohm coaxial cable. This allows for flexibility in cable routing and ease of installation in automotive applications.

Short detection and overcurrent protection ensure a robust, production ready solution. The board is compatible with GMSL2 cameras up to 6Gbps. Each quad coax connector can be configured independently via software to set the channel modulation and tunnel/pixel mode.

All 8 cameras will be sourced Power-Over-COAX from JCB022

PoC Monitor

Ability to monitor the voltage and current used by the PoC connection

Short Protection and Detection

Ability to detect a short and protect against short-to-battery, short-to-ground and overcurrent conditions by use of the Maxim MAX20087

Triggering

A shared PWM trigger is routed to MFP7 on all deserializers.
Additional independent GPIO signals routed as inputs to MFP10 on each deserializer.

GMSL Mode Selection

Ability to configure and save the GMSL mode through software accessible GPIO allowing the configuration of the Deserializer to use different modes by use of the DS4520 memory backed I2C GPIO device

Can be directly powered from Camera Expansion Header or External +12V Input
